New mobilities, new textual modes, and new technologies, have pervaded Asian regions, affecting communication, structuring lifeworlds, and re-authoring identities. As such, language has evolved through ever-changing mediations. While these changes and mediations gain significance, a reflexive focus on cultural origins also emerges as central to global flows, as new human generations increasingly desire to revitalize cultural heritage and its linguistic counterpart.
